Sakis Player · Last updated: 05-08-2026

Sakis Player is an IPTV player and activation application. It contains no channels, playlists, movies or series of its own. It connects only to the media provider that you — the customer — are already authorized to use. This policy explains what the app and the sakisplayer.com service store, and why.

1. What we collect

DataWhy
Virtual MAC address — an identifier the service generates for your installation. It is not your hardware MAC address.Identifies the device so its licence can be activated and so your provider can authorise it.
Device secret and activation codeLets the app prove it is the same installation on later requests.
Device model, manufacturer and app versionSupport and compatibility.
IP address and last-seen timeRecorded when the app contacts the service, to detect abuse and support the licence.
Licence details (status, plan, expiry, optional label, parental PIN)Managed by your operator or reseller so the subscription works.
Technical health counters — how many times the app reached or failed to reach your provider, how often a stream link had to be requested again, how often playback froze and whether it resumed, plus the app's menu language and its picture/buffer settings, and a short technical description of the most recent failure. So support can tell what is wrong when you report a problem, instead of asking you to reproduce it. See section 2a.

2. What we do not collect

2a. Technical health counters, in plain words

The app counts how well it is working and sends those counts to sakisplayer.com on the same regular check it already makes for your licence. It sends them only when something has changed — a device with nothing to report says nothing.

3. Your provider's credentials

If your operator stores a provider endpoint (URL, username, password or portal MAC) for your device, it is held so the app can connect on your behalf. Passwords are stored encrypted and are sent only to your own activated device over HTTPS.

4. How data is protected and shared

All communication between the app and sakisplayer.com uses HTTPS. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising. Data is processed only by the parties needed to run the service: our hosting provider and our network/security provider (Cloudflare), which processes connection metadata such as IP addresses in order to deliver and protect the site.

4a. YouTube

Our social posting tool uses the YouTube API Services to upload our own promotional videos to our own YouTube channel. It does not access, collect or store data about YouTube viewers. By watching our videos on YouTube you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can revoke any access granted through Google at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Retention and deletion

Device and licence records are kept while the device is registered and for a reasonable period afterwards for billing and abuse-prevention purposes. You may ask us to delete your device record and associated data by contacting support@sakisplayer.com. Uninstalling the app stops all data being sent, but does not by itself delete the record held on the service.

6. Children

The service is intended for adults who hold a subscription with a media provider. It is not directed at children. The app includes an optional parental-control PIN.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/EEA GDPR) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Contact support@sakisplayer.com to exercise these rights.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date shown above.
